Course features
At the heart of this course is a fundamental promise that you will explore the English language and develop an array of writing skills, all under the guidance of professional writers and academics.
Throughout your studies, you will be encouraged to experiment with different forms of writing, whether that is creative or critical. This helps to develop your awareness, understanding and ability, and graduate with a strong set of skills that will help you in the search for a career.
The University of Bolton course blends together small groups, one-to-one sessions and guest lectures by professionals from the world of art and literature.
On your creative writing journey, you have the opportunity to submit work to our very our magazine, poetry competitions and other fiction prizes. In your final year, you will work towards a single piece of creative work and spend time on a work placement that mirrors your preferred career.
