With a Health and Social Care degree, you will have the skills to encourage others to live an active and enjoyable life. You can reduce the risk of individuals and their dependents who are being hindered by mental or physical ill-health.
A Health and Social Care degree can take you into a wide variety of roles. Here is just a taster of the career options that might spark your interest:
From the youngest to the oldest in society, every age group has health needs. Many professionals specialise in working with a specific group of people. If you enjoy the energy of children, you might focus on a career in Educational Psychology, Childcare or Youth Work. Your involvement could open up opportunities that transform young people’s lives.
As a creative individual, you may apply for a Community Arts Officer or Play Therapist position. Alternatively, you might prefer a less hands-on role, working with Public Health to develop campaigns or championing the Equality and Diversity Rights in a Charity.
Community Centres, Residential Care Homes, Schools and Prisons are just a few of the organisations who recruit Health and Social Care graduates. Councils also hire individuals into fostering and housing teams.
The advantage of studying a Health and Social Care degree at the University of Bolton is our strong community and industry connections.
Throughout the course, our students apply their learning in real care settings. The coupling of theory and practice helps them to try different roles, developing a clearer vision of their chosen career path after graduation. It also ensures that they can draw on experience during an interview, making them desirable candidates. If you want to find out more, click here.
