Gradcracker – where the STEM jobs are

Careers fairs, whether virtual and physical, are a great way to meet and find out more from employers about potential roles and more importantly, what they are looking for. There are many companies that want to employ graduates, and these events are a great way to discover where your career may go.

Gradcracker is the UK’s careers website for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) students. They have over 250 leading STEM employers, and more work placements and graduate jobs than any other careers website. They even have a section tracking the employers have posted job for a minimum of five years, giving you the best chance of finding active job postings.

On Gradcracker.com, each employer has its own ‘hub’ where you can find out everything you need to know about the company and more importantly, its opportunities. This information will help you decide if the company is right for you, and can be a great source of research when it comes to applying.

Once you have found your favourite employers, you can ‘follow’ them on their Gradcracker hub to receive their latest news and job alerts. You can also ‘save’ job postings to your ‘shortlist’, which allows you to go back and apply when you’re ready and then keep track of your applications.

The Gradcracker webinars give students a unique insight into potential employers – with videos from previous graduate employees and interns explaining the application process and their experience with the company, as well as recruiters from the company giving insight as to what the company looks for in a successful candidate.
