Law degree entry requirements you will require

A Law degree can provide you with the essential skills needed to be a successful lawyer, but also a successful producer, politician, manager, journalist, diplomat or police officer. A Law degree equips you for almost any profession that requires intellectual strength combined with a practical approach to the world.

At the University of Bolton, our experienced team will guide you as you explore the sources of the Law in England and Wales, alongside how laws are created and developed, which institutions administrate which Laws, and the persons who practice them.

You’ll study the Law as it regulates the functions of the state, the relations between private individuals, and the ownership and control of land and other property. You’ll also be able to investigate additional legal areas that are of interest to you to benefit your career aspirations.

You will need 112 UCAS points in order to study our LLB (Hons) Law entry course, please see our guide to the UCAS Tariff for examples of how to achieve these points.

Any subjects are acceptable at Level 3. You should also have five GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent) including English.

You may be required to attend an interview and provide a portfolio of work, and potentially pass a diagnostic test prior to admission.
