Looking good, feeling good

Over the summer, the university sports hall within Bolton One underwent renovations to create a fresh and brighter environment.

The renovations were overseen by Jason Pendlebury, Sports Centre Manager whose vision was to create a modern hub for students, staff and the public to benefit from. As part of the renovations, the hall and changing rooms were overhauled, and look amazing. Since opening, many students have enjoyed the facilities as well as the newly installed PlayStation 4.

The Sports Centre is part of the university’s strategy to improve the wellbeing of its students, staff and the local community. The centre is home to badminton, fitness, yoga and climbing on the 50ft wall!

Jason explained he wanted the refurbished sports hall to be “a place that students, staff and the public can use on a regular basis. We have numerous club sports teams that are recruiting, and we urge all students to come down and get involved. Even if you think you may not be at club sports team level we want you to make use of our facilities.”
