For the third year in a row, the University of Bolton is named number one for student satisfaction in Greater Manchester. The National Student Survey (NSS) preliminary results reveal that the university scored 86.53 for overall student satisfaction, higher than any other university in the county.
The university was also placed in the top 20 for overall student satisfaction in England in the survey, which is managed by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies.
Dr Kondal Reddy Kandadi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bolton, said he was delighted by the news.
He said: “Providing the best possible learning experience for our students is at the heart of everything we do, so to be first in Greater Manchester once again and in the top 20 in England is a fantastic achievement. It is all the more special as this survey is completed by the people who know the university the best – our students.
“The University of Bolton excels in a number of courses, but we are also very focused on making students feel welcome, valued and part of a friendly learning atmosphere. Smaller class sizes and one-to-one tutoring is something not every university can offer and we know that our students greatly appreciate them.”
Dr Kandadi added: “Our multimillion-pound investment in student learning infrastructure also shows our commitment to providing the best facilities for our students. This is a ringing endorsement from them and we pledge to continue to focus on making the student experience the best it possibly can be.”
