University Of Bolton UAE Academic Centre Wins Best Educational Provider Award

The Western International College (WINC) has operated the UAE franchise of the University of Bolton since 2008. The academic centre has grown from humble beginnings, and now has been awarded the title of Best Educational Provider at the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) Annual Business Excellence Awards.

The award is given in recognition of the centres incredible internship programme which is underpinned by the University of Bolton graduate attributes. The RAKEZ Business Excellence Awards recognise multiple businesses who have contributed significantly to the growth of the Emirates economy.

WINC Director was present to collect the award and said: “Being notified that we were shortlisted was exciting enough, but having shone through against the stiff competition, it is a real testament to the maturity of our Academic Centre, the competence of our staff and most importantly the achievement of our students. We are honoured to be recognised for our efforts and thank RAKEZ for their on-going support.”

The award was presented by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAKEZ and Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ.

Vice Chancellor Professor George E Holmes DL said: “We are incredibly proud of our colleagues’ achievements and knowing of their hard work and commitment think this award is well justified.”
