Bolton named No.1 for student satisfaction in North West and joint fourth in UK

The University of Bolton has been named number one in Greater Manchester and the North West for student satisfaction in a top independent university guide, Complete University Guide.

The University was also placed second in England and joint fourth in the UK for student satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2021, which was published this week.

The University scored a total of 84 per cent for student satisfaction.

The Vice Chancellor said, “I am so pleased that, once again, we have scored so highly for student satisfaction.

“The University of Bolton constantly focuses on providing the best possible overall experience for our students; it is at the heart of everything we do, and we back up this promise with action.”

Prof Holmes added: “It is at the forefront of our minds now during the unprecedented situation we find ourselves with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to implement a range of safety measures to ensure that the campus is COVID secure for a safe return for students and staff in September.

“This is to provide the best possible overall experience for students who quite rightly expect more than just to be learning online from September.

“We will ensure that they can spend some time each week on campus, that they can meet face to face with their friends in a safe and secure University environment and that they can engage one-to-one in person with their tutors.”

Prof Holmes said: “I am delighted that we are again the number one university in Greater Manchester and joint fourth in the UK. It is testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff.”

The Complete University Guide is an autonomous and editorially independent division of IDP Connect and works closely with UK universities, Higher Education organisations including UCAS, HESA and Jisc, and the media to provide the most relevant and up-to-date information and advice.
