Opportunity Knox for nursing graduate from Malawi!

NURSING graduate Knox Chipengule caused a stir when he received his University of Bolton degree – by walking on stage wearing the tribal dress. Knox, aged 47, who was awarded a BSc in Adult Nursing, decided he wanted to honour his forefathers by donning the traditional dress during the ceremony in Bolton’s Albert Halls. Knox, originally from Malawi, South Africa, said he was delighted with his achievement. “I am very pleased; the support here has been tremendous,” he said. He is now working in the critical care unit of the Royal Preston Hospital, part of the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The traditional dress was made from calf and cowhide with a leopard skin print.
