Becky Stringer

Lecturer in Nursing

After graduating with a Diploma in higher education (DipHE) Adult Nursing, I worked as a staff nurse in respiratory medicine. Following this I went on to work in intermediate care community setting then Bury Hospice. During this time, I completed a palliative care module and the Multi-professional Support for Learning and Assessment in Practice.

In 2014 I returned to the University of Bolton to complete the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) and graduated with a BSc (Hons). I also complete my V100 non-medical prescribing qualification.

After working as a Health Visitor for 3 years and having a passion for education I return to clinical practice as a Clinical Educator, educating and supporting the student nurses from the University of Bolton in practice.

I have a particular interest in palliative care and clinical practice. I strive to utilise my knowledge and skills acquired to develop myself personally and professional within my role here at the university whilst informing nursing education.
