Dr Frankie Kerridge

Lecturer

I am a 0.5 FTE Lecturer in Biology. My teaching areas of expertise are Animal Behaviour, Welfare and Ethics; Wildlife and Environmental Biology; and Research Science. I supervise final year projects and help to develop placements, and I am also a personal tutor. I have a BSc in Science and the Environment and a PhD in wild and captive lemur behaviour. I completed my PGCert in Teaching and Learning and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in 2015. My action research project focused on student reflection, an area I am continuing to develop on the Medical Biology degree course. I took a Masters module in Research Degree Supervision in 2017 with a view to supervising PhD students. I am a member of both the Mammal Society and the Primate Society of Great Britain, and also I act as a reviewer for Zoo Biology.
