My practice subject matter can be argued as being the result of self-initiated, phenomena-led observations and investigations of northern locations, based initially on a reinforced view over time of a range of constructed geographies concerning post-industrial infrastructure, memory inflected leisure-based locations and later wider-ranging commission-driven interpretive projects.

Creative, technical and conceptual ability was attuned through combinations of research and development in conjunction with targeted training and critical feedback. The photography is presented as carefully crafted bodies of output created through the application of reflection in action.
