Lisa Rees started her academic career at OLC Europe Ltd, working in partnership with University of East London, University Centre Colchester, University Centre Stockport and Sunderland College in 2010, as a Lecturer. During this period she achieved her PGDE, QTLS and received positive feedback from both Pearson External Examiners and QAA Reviewers. In 2014, she became the programme lead for the HND Business and Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership programmes. In addition, she became a Teacher Trainer Assessor for Bolton and Huddersfield universities. In 2016, she extended her management responsibility to include, Education and Training, and Health and Social Care programmes. Additional management responsibilities included student recruitment, with a focus on widening participation. In 2017, she began her Master in Education at the University of Bolton, achieving the Vice Chancellor’s Award for highest academic achievement. In 2018, she completed and achieved her Senior Fellowship with HEA. She joined the University of Bolton as a Lecturer in Marketing and Academic Coordinator for Recruitment and Retention in 2019.

• Academic motivation of non-traditional British South Asian women studying in Higher Education
• Personal Tutor support for non-traditional students in Higher Education
