Rebecca Woolley

Lecturer

I completed an Honours Degree in Pure Mathematics and Economics in 1988 and started teaching mathematics and numeracy in an FE setting in 1998. I moved into Teacher Education 5 years later teaching on both generic and subject specialist programmes. I completed a Masters Degree in Adult Literacy, Numeracy and ESOL in 2010. My current research interest involves alternatives to a timed test for adult numeracy/mathematics.

I am a member of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics, the Higher Education Academy and the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM). I am a Professional Development Lead for the NCETM and have been a reviewer of Professional Formation (leading to QTLS) for the Education and Training Foundation since 2011.
