The Centre for Games Development at the university offers courses from these three disciplines:

• Games Art
• Games Design
• Games Programming

In addition to the above we also offer a Masters qualification in Games Development for students who already have a relevant undergraduate degree.

Both our undergraduate and postgraduate gaming courses are professionally developed to help you specialise and focus on your preferred discipline. All of them have the following essential features:

• Industry guests and panels work together with our pro-active staff to ensure courses evolve with the fast-paced world of game development
• Opportunities to work on self-directed projects, developing a distinct professional portfolio that supports your future employment ambitions
• Testing of pre-release titles for game development companies, often allowing you to gain a game credit before you have completed your degree
• Regular Game Jams giving you the opportunity to gain valuable game development experience alongside your studies

There are a variety of job roles within the gaming industry which can be taken up after studying our gaming courses. Our games graduates have secured jobs at some of the world’s best games companies, working on titles such as Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption 2, F1 and the LEGO franchise.
