University Recruits Student Employment Champions In A Push To Increase 'Employability'

The University of Bolton has recruited 10 ‘champions’ as part of a major investment in focusing on employability. The team of Student Employment Champions have been tasked with helping to encourage fellow students to access the Careers Service. This investment also includes five Employer Liaison Consultants who will work closely with employers and academic areas to source opportunities and placements.

The Student Employment Champions will be working alongside the existing team to engage and consult more students about careers and employability initiatives, generate more participation and promote the service.

Julie Bateman, Head of Careers and Employability, said: “We are all about improving the employability of our students, giving them the best advice so they can then plan for a career.”
