Final year students from across the Animation and Illustration degree at the University of Bolton are taking part in a virtual event to showcase their work.
Along with students from other courses in Bolton School of the Arts, the Animation and illustration cohort have come together to develop a virtual show called ‘Unlocked’, to promote and celebrate the projects they’ve been working on over the course of the degree.
While this final year show is a little unusual in its delivery, with everything online due to Covid restrictions, it’s a testament to the flexibility and strength of the Animation and illustration course, with staff and students working cohesively to produce an incredible exhibition.
“Students have been guided to develop their own unique visual voice and externalise their internal visions through a variety of methodologies; something that can only be achieved by collaboration with a broad range of people with diverse fields of interests and variety process methods,” the team explains.
Unlocked mirrors the wider aims of the degree; instilling the recognition of the importance of open-mindedness, experimentation, answering questions creatively, identifying personal strengths and weaknesses, and seeking ways to continually develop.
To get an idea of some of the skills you could develop on an Animation and Illustration degree, take a look at Unlocked. You can also enjoy work from artists, fashion designers and photographers.
