The University of Bolton welcomed over 2,000 new students through its doors at the start of the 2019/2020 academic year.
A variety of events have been organised, including quiz nights, trips and nights out to welcome the students. The events were a great opportunity for students to make new friends and explore the friendly campus.
Students were welcomed with a vibrant Chancellor’s Mall filled with introductory offers, sign-ups and deals. Local clubs and societies were also on hand with more information to showcase what their new home town has to offer.
Ansh Sachdeva, President of the SU was also on hand to greet them and gave induction speeches to encourage the students to get involved in uni life by joining clubs and societies. The Student Union (SU) packed over 2,000 bags with useful items to get the new starters underway. The SU will open its doors later this month to local and national businesses, charities and organisations for this year’s Freshers’ Fair on the 7, 8, 9 and 11 October 2019.
Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, Dr Kondal Reddy Kandadi, said: “We extend our warmest welcome to students enrolling with us this week. We hope they thoroughly enjoy their time at the University of Bolton with a great learning experience.
Our primary aim is to ensure that the education and student experience are the best that they possibly can be. We have been named the best university in Greater Manchester for Overall Student Satisfaction three years in a row by the NSS and we are working hard to maintain our high standards.”
