For counselling practitioners or psychology graduates, the University of Bolton’s MSc Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapies course can be a great way to enjoy professional and personal development. If you want to enhance your CV and boost your employability, this programme will give you the tools you need to succeed.
Our Postgraduate training course is suitable for the following applicants:
Cognitive behaviour graduates
If you have completed your Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies and can provide evidence of good academic performance (in the form of a transcript), a master’s degree can help you take the next step in your career.
Not only does it allow you to gain a top-up qualification with two research-focused modules (worth 60 credits), but you can develop your knowledge further and prepare for Level 2 Provisional Accreditation.
Graduates in a relevant discipline
As well as providing a top-up qualification for cognitive behaviour graduates, this Postgraduate programme welcomes applicants with a relevant Undergraduate degree. You’ll need, at minimum, an upper second class (2.1) honours, plus high grades in relevant modules.
Practitioners with work experience
For counselling practitioners that have experience in the industry, we may be able to consider applications without the published academic qualifications. In lieu of the academic prerequisites, we will review work experience against the University’s Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) procedures.
