Service User Involvement Initiative in Higher Education

Across our health and social care programmes, service user involvement is not a tokenistic add-on to our student teaching and learning. This initiative is embedded as a key ethos of our education practice in training future healthcare workforce.

Everyone at some point has been on the receiving end of health and social care and in the process. Service users will have had contact with a range of different healthcare professionals.

We have service users who have had experiences with:

  • General health and social care professionals

  • Social work

  • Nursing and midwifery (Child, Mental health, Adult)

  • Health visiting

  • District nursing

  • Advanced practitioners

  • Physician associates

  • Operating department practitioners

For more information on how to get involved as a service user and help shape the future health and social care workforce, please contact Bimpe Kuti. Email – bk3@bolton.ac.uk Tel: 01204 903796
