Course details

You will study the core modules of our business management degrees in the first two years, being introduced the fundamental areas of business including finance, economics, people management, marketing, law and enterprise.

As you specialise in your final year, you will delve deeper into your chosen specialism, whether you stay with finance or switch to another pathway. For those that choose finance and wish to pursue further qualifications, you will have the chance to gain exemptions from certain Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) qualifications.

This degree is not just about business management or finance, but about helping every student graduate with the employability skills needed to enter the job market. These include communication, leadership, problem-solving and analysis skills.

Our expert lecturers will use a combination of real-world case studies, industry visits and guest lecturers to build on the theory you learn during study sessions.

This degree offers a route into management in any number of industries and departments, whether finance or another focus, such as marketing, HR or operations. You may choose to go into a commercial company, public organisation, non-profit organisation or start your own business.

The specialist knowledge and awareness gained from the BSc (Hons) Business Management (Finance) pathway, will be particularly desirable to those companies wanting to combine an awareness of business law, operations and management, with finance.
