Education is influenced by decisions and activities on a global scale and the most influential leaders in education embrace this concept. This course will help those with teaching experience to assess their leadership skills and develop solutions that combine local, national and global ideas.
What you will learn
The core focus of this masters programme is to develop a knowledge and understanding of the theories underpinning leadership in education, on a global scale. You will then assess the importance and viability of implementing such theories in a real-world situation, based on your own circumstances.
Our teaching staff are experienced and dedicated, with a passion for exploring diversity in education, using their own extensive knowledge and industry experience to challenge students, pushing you to critically think about a concept and wherever possible innovate.
In an ever-changing and developing world, leadership is not simply about knowing the concepts, it is also about the ability to implement these ideas to improve the teaching quality and overall quality of education. As a result, our Master’s in Global Educational Leadership will spend time improving the behaviours and competencies of each student, including communication, critical thinking and leadership.
Future career opportunities
At the University of Bolton, we believe this masters offers some incredible advantages to graduates when compared to other degrees. You will have the opportunity to work with organisations, both profit and non-profit who focus on education on a global scale, and they will be drawn to this specialist postgraduate degree.
Perhaps you currently work in education and want to improve your current leadership skills and move on to a more demanding role at a college or university. Holding a master’s degree can make the difference between getting an interview or not!
