New Third Year Modules - Community Development and Youth Work

Two years ago, our dual validated and professionally recognised BA (Hons) Community Development and Youth Work program began its journey. As we head towards a third year, the program team prepare for the delivery of new third-year modules such as:

  • Housing and Homelessness’: which will address the GM housing crisis and currently contested spatial planning frameworks
  • Management, Governance and Organisational Development’: which will explore the complex nature of cross-sector management and co-production of services
  • Global Youth Work and Sustainable Communities’: which will explore global inequalities and strategies for action and change.

Also, this year we have a new and exciting development for final year students and our Fieldwork Placement Partners. Students will undertake an Action Research Project in order to support the development of youth and community provision within their Placement Agency. This is a fantastic opportunity for BA (Hons) Community Development and Youth Work students and program team to have a real social value impact in Greater Manchester. Role on academic year 2019/20 - we are ready for you!
