The University of Bolton is proud to offer students a uniquely designed BA (Hons) Games Art course available for both full and part-time study.
We consulted with industry experts from across the UK’s active games developers to help us create a course that will allow our students to get the best possible learning opportunities in preparation for their future careers.
Creating a learning environment that closely mirrors professional life in the gaming industry, we focus on developing the creative and technical potentials of constructing interactive worlds and innovative characters within Game Art.
With the University’s dedicated games labs, high-specification hardware and industry standards software, we place a strong emphasis on studio time. During their studies, our students are guided through the basics of digital character art and environment modelling, as well as looking at developing technology such as procedural asset creation.
As one of the first universities in the UK to offer Games courses, we have built a strong collaborative network of companies, this network often offers Bolton students the opportunity to test upcoming games before they go to market. Previous students have even had their names mentioned in the credits of games before they have graduated.
Want to unlock the next level of your career with an MA in Games development?
We also offer a full-time Postgraduate degree, the ideal next step for an ambitious Games graduate. For more information on all our Games courses at the University of Bolton, click here.
