Christopher is currently Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Top-Up: Teaching, Learning and Assessing in Professional Practice and a course tutor for the BA (Hons) Education and Learning and PGCE (Post-compulsory). He also supports other tutors as an Enhanced Personal Tutor.
Christopher brings to his work many years experience in further and higher education, where he has undertaken curriculum design, development, delivery and evaluation, observations of workplace performance and assessment, monitoring, recording and providing feedback to a diverse range of learners, as well as having involvement in pastoral support, peer mentoring, quality assurance and with e-learning / blended learning solutions. Christopher has experience as an external examiner.
His areas of interest include ethnography and self-study in teaching and learning, pedagogy for teacher education, reflexive learning, comparative / international education and promoting learner-centred learning.
A passionate educator, Christopher is a Fellow of the HEA. He holds an undergraduate degree in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, a PGCE from the University of Central Lancashire and his Education Masters was awarded by the University of Cumbria.
