I have had a varied career which began when I left school and worked as an administrator and successfully obtained my HNC in Business Studies at Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic Business School. I then studied to be a Registered General Nurse in Newcastle upon Tyne before working in two accident and emergency units in London. I pursued my nursing career in Liverpool where I studied the post-registration A and E certificate after which I became a sister at Walton Hospital.
I worked as a practice nurse in Widnes and set up the practice nurse service from scratch in a GP.
