Mildred Brown-Houston

Senior Lecturer

Research Interests

Since 2002, I have been involved in information systems (IS) development related research with valuable experiences attained through fieldwork within applied research projects in the UK. Research interests have encompassed pure IS areas as well as applied interests in electronic commerce, business process re-engineering, knowledge management and e-governance, operations management, business logistics and supply chain management.

My previous research in companies in the UK enabled the development of a framework of analysis through the application of an emergent research paradigm. I am also interested in ‘success’ factors as well as engagement with ‘real-time’ IS development. Other research interests included collaboration with four other universities within the North West to develop a web-based learning package for schools and colleges funded by the NWDA.
