I am registered with HCPC as a practitioner Occupational Psychologist. I hold Associate Fellow status with the British Psychological Society and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I hold BPS Qualifications in Test Use: Test User Occupational, Ability; Test User Occupational, Personality and Test User, Occupational, Personality (additional instrument) and Euro Test User (EFPA). I am an Assessor for the British Psychological Society (BPS) Test User Qualification: Occupational, Ability, which is offered to BSc (Hons) Psychology students as part of the psychometrics module. I have also been part of the BPS Testing Verifiers group, alongside other occupational, educational and forensic testing assessors.

I have worked in practice across a number of roles and sectors, as an Occupational Psychologist in a research-focused role for the RAF Personnel and Training Command, as an Occupational Psychologist for two business psychology consultancies, delivering work-based assessment and training, and as a Recruitment Co-ordinator for an NHS Trust.

Here at the University of Bolton, I teach topics on personal development, intelligence, psychometrics, applied psychology and psychology in the workplace on undergraduate modules and psychological and social research and positive psychology on postgraduate modules.

I have been involved in employability activities in psychology for several years. For example, liaising with our careers service colleagues, supporting students with their potential career plans and self-awareness of their attributes; informing them of the various routes open to them as potential careers, with their degree(s) in psychology; recruiting external colleagues from various areas of related practice on to our Industry Advisory Board and collaborating with external organisations to source placement and volunteering opportunities for students. Linked to these activities, I am undertaking my professional doctorate, which focuses on supporting the employability of graduates, within a widening participation context.
