Carrie Warwick, who is a Senior Games Art Lecturer and Programme Leader for Games Design, has been successfully nominated for the Grads in Games Awards 2020 in recognition of her passion for promoting close links between students and industry.

Col Harding, Programme Leader in Games Art at the University, said: “Carrie’s drive and passion for engaging our students with industry activities ensured she was a natural fit for the academic category.”

Simon Wiggins, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Arts & Creative Technologies at the University, said: “Carrie thoroughly deserves this nomination for her dedication and hard work.”

A game entitled ‘Niloc’ created by students who graduated from the course last year has also been shortlisted in the ‘Student Game’ category of the awards.

The game was developed by Farjad Mohammad, Scott Foey, Stephen Ogbeiwi, Alex Murphy and Tom Broughton.

The winners of the Grads in Games Awards 2020 will be announced on 16 April, at the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield.
