Being a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE) and the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM), we have access to and knowledge about the latest and best practices in this area of study. As a biomedical and medical engineering student, you will have access to all the advanced technology available in our new engineering building that includes industry-specified facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories.

• Isokinetic dynamometer
• State-of-the-art biomedical sensors laboratory
• Robotic laboratory
• Manufacturing facilities such as CNC and laser cutters
• Rapid prototyping technology such as 3D printer
• Cell culturing and tissue engineering laboratory
We offer a varied course programme that includes theory and practical lessons, lectures and workshops to give you an extensive overview of the biomedical engineering profession. Here’s what you can expect from the course:
