The University of Bolton is recognised by the Complete University Guide 2020 as one of the top five universities for overall student satisfaction in the UK. For the second year in a row, the university is the first place for overall student satisfaction in Greater Manchester.
The university’s psychology course takes first place in the UK for student satisfaction. Accounting and finance, creative writing, English, mathematics, medical technology, nursing and social work all rank within the top five nationwide.
In Greater Manchester, six of Bolton’s subject areas took first place for overall student satisfaction scores. They were English, creative writing, mathematics, psychology and nursing. Accounting and finance, law and medical technology all scored second for student satisfaction in the region. The top five positions were building, general engineering and materials technology.
President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bolton, Professor George E Holmes said, “To see student satisfaction in so many subject areas rank so highly nationally and in the Greater Manchester region is a testament to the dedication of our staff and lecturers.”
He added, “Achieving such a high overall student satisfaction ranking of universities nationwide demonstrates the University of Bolton’s commitment to our students and their futures. We are an ambitious, teaching-intensive and research-informed institution that places our students at the heart of everything we do, and we will continue to take this approach to ensure our students are ready for bright and successful careers.”
The Complete University Guide publishes its survey annually, drawing data from sources in the public domain including the National Student Survey, the Research Excellence Framework and the Higher Education Statistics Agency.
