University events update

On Friday 15th November, a catastrophic fire broke out in a privately managed building in Bolton town centre which has affected over 200 of our students.

A huge critical support and recovery operation is in place at the University that is ongoing and requires many resources. We need to focus entirely on the wellbeing and support of the many students affected by this terrible incident. As a result of the events this week, we have had to make a number of changes so that we can best support our students.

Regrettably, we have cancelled a number of upcoming events, including both of tomorrows events: Delivery Cover for Islamic Risks and the Nursing Open Evening and Wednesdays: Achievement for All Symposium.

Other events cancelled are:

  • Access All Areas – School of Nursing and Midwifery – 22 November 2019
  • Integrated Health and Social Care Conference – 22 November 2019 at 08:30 – 16:30
  • Access All Areas – Institute of Management – 22 November 2019 at 10:00 – 15:30

We can only apologise but hope that you understand that the decision has been taken to best support our students. Thank you for your support.
