The University of Bolton has taken 36th place nationally in the 2018 university-ranking league published by the Whatuni Student Choice Awards. Rising 77 places since the 2017 survey, all 126 UK universities are included in the survey, with category ratings including facilities, courses and lectures, job prospects, student support and city life. The University of Bolton ranked 15th nationally for its courses and lecturers and 31st for student support, with an overall position of 36th making it the top-rated university within the Greater Manchester area. Professor George E Holmes DL, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bolton commented: “We are delighted with this result: our lecturers and support staff are absolutely dedicated to providing the very best teaching and holistic support for every student, whether full-time, part-time, under or post-graduate, with a total focus on the individual. Our Teaching Intensive, Research Informed policy is the bedrock of university life, and our climb up the league table reflects the success of this commitment.” The Whatuni survey has been established for over ten years, objectively aiding students in their consideration of universities and courses.
