Do you want to become a strength and conditioning coach, working with elite athletes and sports teams? Or perhaps you dream of going into teaching and education, or running your own coaching business?
If these sound like your career ambitions, personal development will be key in honing your skills. And the MSc Strength and Conditioning course at the University of Bolton is a great platform for upskilling. We pride ourselves on delivering #UniAsItShouldBe, and this means putting students, and their needs first. By building a focused personal development plan that’s tailored to you, we can help you reach your potential as a professional sports coach.
Develop as a practitioner
Our course supports the growth of coaches who are looking to improve their practice. Our tutors are proud to know their students by name, and not their student number. And to ensure you enjoy both personal and professional development, they take a tailored and flexible approach to their teaching, ranking No.1 in the North West (and 5th in the UK) for Teaching Satisfaction in Sports Science Courses (The Guardian University League Tables 2021).
Gain industry-related experience
Another important element in personal development is reflecting on your own skills, and finding ways to improve. Our master’s programme helps you develop self-awareness with hands-on training in our Athlete Development Centre (ADC). You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our professional practitioners whose client base includes professional footballers and rugby league players, GB Weightlifting teams, Triathlon England athletes, combat sport athletes, and more.
During your time on campus, you’ll also have access to our award-winning Student Services Team. So if you want to improve your skills as a strength and conditioning coach, there’s nowhere better to train than the University of Bolton!
We provide a supportive and friendly learning environment to help you reach your potential, and that’s why we’ve been voted No.1 in the North West for Student Satisfaction for three years running (Complete University Guide in 2021, 2020 and 2019).
To enrol in January 2021 and enjoy #UniAsItShouldBe, see our course page for details.
