Our Art courses have been ranked in the UK’s top five for student-to-staff ratio by the 2018 Guardian University Guide. This means we offer a lower number of students per member of our academic teaching staff. This ensures our students develop a closer relationship with their lecturers, feel supported, receive quicker access to constructive feedback, and benefit from being more involved throughout studies.

Fine Art graduates often splinter off into a range of career directions, which is why our BA (Hons) Fine Art course lets you explore your creativity and experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, photography, installation, performance, digital and video art. The University of Bolton offers students a supportive environment where you can develop your creative skills, knowledge and confidence. Our passionate staff are practicing artists and as a student you will enjoy dedicated studio space/equipped workshops, as well as opportunities to work alongside arts organisations, gaining experience in the creative sector.

Our students are encouraged to participate in foreign study trips, as well as visit exhibitions and events at galleries, public art installations, sculpture parks and arts centres around the UK to encourage hands-on learning.
