Martin Baker

Lecturer

Martin is a lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing where he teaches Postgraduate students on the MSc Advanced Practice, MSc Clinical Practice and MSc Physician Associate courses.

As a radiographer by profession he has worked in various advanced roles in the NHS and in the private sector, including ultrasound and MRI. He has a BSc in Radiography and an MSc in Medical Imaging, and currently specialises in MRI scanning of patients with anxiety and claustrophobia. Having always had an interest in teaching, he achieved Fellowship of the HEA in 2016.

His research interests include improving access to healthcare for patients for whom conventional practice may not be achievable.
