Assistant teaching professor presented with a certificate from our pro-vice-chancellor

The Bolton Awards Ceremony was held on Wednesday 19 June to celebrate the achievements of students who are formally recognised for all the extra-curricular work that they do: helping their employability and development of CVs.

Assistant Teaching Professor, Neil Dougan, was also recognised for his help and support with the Bolton Awards since its inception four years ago.

Neil’s proud that “many Media students have benefited from this scheme and it’s something that all our new students are invited to take part in when they arrive here. We will support all of their efforts.” His ‘Certificate of Recognition’ was presented by the university’s new Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Baroness Newlove, who according to Neil, brought a real Northern warmth and down-to-earthiness to the whole proceedings.

It’s been a week of success and opportunities in Media, with some of our current students across HE5 and HE6 gaining valuable extra-curricular industry experience shadowing production roles with acclaimed award-winning RED Productions as they filmed on the university campus.
