AVA CAD CAM specialise in the management of design and colour, from initial conception through to digitally or conventionally printed final production, for the decorative printing industry, and are part of the BA (Hons) Textiles and Surface Design Industry Advisory Board (IAB).
Debbie Buchan, Customer Services Director for AVA regularly visits the course, offering feedback and support to both students and staff. On a recent visit to the Creative Degree show, Debbie selected Jenny McCarthy as a clear winner for the AVA Training Award at their headquarters in Macclesfield.
This training will enable Jenny to build on the skills she has already acquired on the course, and gain further mentoring and support to gain a job within the industry.
Debbie stated that: 'Once again, the University of Bolton impressed us at their Creative Show Preview Evening. We joined the excited students, along with proud friends, family and esteemed industry guests from across the design disciplines, to view an impressive exhibition of talent on display from the final year students and their journeys through education'.
Along with local businesses, we explored the stunning work from Textile and Surface Design students.
'The graduates did not disappoint with their vast display of skill and ability on show. It was evident that each student had a very unique and strong style and their work stood alone independently.'
'Thank you to the University of Bolton for inviting us to attend the private view, it is a pleasure to help support the university and its graduates and we hope to continue this initiative for many years to come – helping bridge the gap between education and industry is a passion for us and long may it continue’
