Beverley Caddick

Academic Operations Lead - Law

Beverley Caddick is the Academic Lead for the School of Law and Centre for Contemporary Coronial Law. Beverley works directly with the Dean of the Faculty of Professional Studies to contribute towards the management of the School of Law. This involves regular analysis of student performance, progression, engagement and satisfaction data and the production of related reports to inform future practice. Furthermore, Beverley co-ordinates extra-curricular activities designed to enhance the student experience such as mentoring, employability, work placements and scholarships.

Beverley joined the university in 2013, having previously worked at several other higher education institutions. Beverley has extensive teaching experience at undergraduate level. She is currently module leader for medical law and ethics, land law and professionals in practice. Beverley has also taught a wide array of audiences and delivered teaching to both business, health and journalism students.

Prior to joining the University of Bolton, Beverley worked as a Research Assistant on a European funded international project on hate crime. Her research interests include medical law and reproductive ethics, family law and land law. She is a member of the Society of Legal Scholars, Postgraduate Legal Research Group, acts as a reviewer of the Postgraduate Medical Journal within the British Medical Journal and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Beverley is currently in the process of completing her PhD by thesis. Her thesis is considered to be multidisciplinary and focuses on the legal, medical, ethical, philosophical and scientific elements of emergency contraception.
