Testimonials

Ellisse Vernon

Adult Nursing | 2019

"The adult nursing course at the University of Bolton is outstanding; university tutors and clinical nurse tutors are very supportive and you’re not just a student ID number, at this university you are an individual with a name. The dedication and support which I have received since transferring has had an impact on me not only as a student nurse with becoming more confident but has had a positive impact on my overall grades. The clinical skills week before starting placement are brilliant and prepares you and helps you practice the skills needed on the wards. Throughout placement the clinical nurse tutors come and see you every week to ensure everything is going smoothly and to highlight any issues – if any. I couldn’t recommend studying at the University of Bolton enough – it is fantastic!"

Trish Houghton

Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery |

"Focusing on areas that include nursing, midwifery and operating department practice, the School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of the biggest schools in the university and sits within the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing. Our innovative courses benefit from strong links, along with excellent partnership working with employers and governing organisations, ensuring that they are directly relevant to professional practice. The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) accredit many of the programmes within the school, whilst the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) approve others. We also work with educational establishments around the UK, supporting them in the provision of custom-designed, industry-led courses in the nursing, health and human sciences arenas."

Shazia Ali

Adult Nursing | 2016

"I began my nurse training at the University Of Bolton in February 2016. Throughout my three years, the University provided me with immense support within my placements and academic work. The tutors were always on hand when needed, and also prepared us for the challenges that a nurse can face, and helped develop the skills needed to handle these situations. I am now a qualified nurse working within the Royal Bolton Hospital and can confidently say that this could not have been done without the ongoing support that has been provided by the University of Bolton's academic staff and support services.
